AED is a distributor-based trade association representing companies that sell, rent and service equipment used in construction, mining, forestry, power generation and industrial applications in North America and internationally. Our membership categories are:

Distributors:  Our largest and primary group of members, these companies representing over 3,300 dealer locations are independent, full service distributorships that sell and rent equipment and provide a wide range of product-support services. Annual Membership is based on gross annual revenues starting at $850. International Membership has annual dues of $650.

Manufacturers:  Over 300 heavy, general and light construction machinery makers belong to AED to establish and maintain business relationships with our distributor members, and to stay abreast of trends in distribution. Annual Membership is based on gross annual revenues starting at $1050.

Service Companies:  Over 200 companies belong to AED to market their specialized services to equipment dealers in such areas as financing, information technology, insurance, publishing and consulting. Annual Membership dues are $1000.

AED is an international trade association representing companies involved in the distribution, rental and support of equipment used in construction, mining, forestry, power generation, agriculture and industrial applications. AED member dealers are unique in that they are each authorized, via contract with an original equipment manufacturer, to inventory, sell and service new machinery in a given geography. More than 90% of AED's factory authorized dealers rent construction equipment as well. The Associated Equipment Distributors strongly adheres to and strongly advocates principles of integrity, ethics and fairness.
