Your Industry Legacy

Giving Back . . . TO THE FUTURE

Legacy FundAs you reflect on the ways in which the equipment distribution industry has benefited you and your family, please consider the rewarding experience of creating a planned gift to The AED Foundation's Legacy Fund. A tangible means by which to leave your own memorable mark on the industry, your gift is a personal opportunity to give back by giving to the future.

Your thoughtful and generous planning today will help guarantee the strength of the construction equipment industry for future generations. Present tax advantages may also make this the opportune occasion to designate your gift. We encourage you to explore the possibilities of a planned Legacy gift with your family and with your business advisor or attorney. Please call Pat Novak with any questions about designing your Legacy gift: 630-468-5135.

What is the Legacy Fund?

The Legacy Fund is the Foundation's endowment, and serves to fund sustainable, community-based school-to-work programs that are bringing young people into equipment industry careers. The endowment also supports workforce research projects as well as professional education research with universities and subject matter experts. The Legacy Fund currently contains more than $1 million in cash, as well as bequests between $1 million to $5 million. (based on market value of gifts)

Can I create a restricted planned gift?

A donor may specifically restrict a Legacy endowment gift of $10,000 or more to establish a separate fund bearing the name of the donor or a loved one. Special agreements are drafted to identify particular areas (s)he wishes to support and to ensure that the donor's requests are honored in perpetuity. Donors will always be consulted if changes in Foundation programs call for redirecting how restricted gifts are used.

Why does The AED Foundation need a Legacy Fund?

Shortage of a skilled workforce plagues America and jeopardizes future growth of the equipment distribution industry. Negative stereotyping casts the important role of well educated and highly trained technicians in an unfavorable light – but The AED Foundation is turning the tide by establishing partnerships with local technical colleges around the nation. Th rough these accreditation and alliance relationships, the Foundation is helping to bring thousands of young graduates into the industry, feeding directly into factory-authorized dealerships, including yours.

Your planned gift to the Legacy Fund serves to anchor this work and ensure its continuation through future economic cycles. The interest from this endowment fund provides stability for the ongoing operation of the Foundation's school-to-work programs for generations to come. Thank you for considering your role as a permanent partner with us.
