AED Foundation - School Accreditation Program

POST-SECONDARY SCHOOL ACCREDITATION PROGRAM THROUGH THE AED FOUNDATION

Raising Standards for the Future in Construction Equipment Technology

The AED Foundation accreditation is for post-secondary technical schools and community colleges that value the importance of the broader skills, both technically and academically, that today’s technician requires. In the technical disciplines, accreditation requires that a school prepare technicians in all of the following:
  • Diesel engines & fuel systems
  • Electronics/Electrical
  • Hydraulics
  • Power trains
  • Air conditioning systems
  • Safety practices related to each of the above
The AED Foundation is an affiliate of Associated Equipment Distributors (AED), based in Oak Brook, IL. AED is an international trade association of the construction equipment industry, representing over 1,000 companies that sell, rent, service, manufacture and support equipment used in construction and construction-related industries. AED has served the industry for more than eight decades.

Founded in 1991, the Foundation supports AED’s overall mission by developing and delivering professional education and workforce development programs for the construction equipment industry.
