AEDNews - Construction Equipment Industry News AED Headquarters in Temporary State of Emergency As flood waters recede and cleanup begins, AED staff and many services remain accessible to members. July 27, 2010 - Recovering from the second devastating flood to permeate its offices in two years, Associated Equipment Distributors' North American headquarters temporarily lost power and network connectivity following a deluge of rain Friday night, July 23. AED staff hustled through the weekend to salvage data and assets, and the association's website and e-mail service are currently restored to nearly 100 percent. "We are looking at temporary office facilities in close proximity to our Oak Brook, Ill., location just outside of Chicago," said AED President & CEO Toby Mack. "As we continue wringing out from this painful ordeal, we are accelerating the packing-and-pitching process and hope to be up and running on higher ground by the end of the week." As a result of the disaster, AEDNews, the weekly e-news bulletin published by the association, was not produced July 27, but the editors will resume with the next edition on Monday, Aug. 2 To contact AED, members can e-mail info@aednet.org or individual staff e-mail addresses.
