Don Brock has resigned from the role of president of Astec Industries. He will continue to serve as chief executive officer. Appointed to the position of president and chief operating officer is W. Norman (Norm) Smith. Most recently Smith served as group vice president, Asphalt. Benjamin G. Brock will take on the role of group vice president, Asphalt. Benjamin Brock most recently served as president of Astec, Inc. Richard J. Dorris will take on the role of Group Vice President, Energy. Dorris most recently served as president of Heatec, Inc. By creating the Energy Group these companies will focus on asphalt heating and storage, thermal fluid process heating, blending systems for ground tire rubber and polymers, water heating for fracking systems, and process heating of biomass and other related energy and infrastructure markets. Astec Industries, Inc., (www.astecindustries.com), is a manufacturer of specialized equipment for building and restoring the world's infrastructure. Astec's manufacturing operations are divided into four primary business segments: asphalt production equipment, mobile asphalt paving equipment, aggregate processing and mining equipment, and underground boring, directional drilling and trenching equipment.
