AED/NAEDA Washington Fly In
April 2 & 3 | Washington, D.C.
On April 2 and 3 AED members are going to gather in Washington, D.C., for your association’s annual “Fly-In.” Consider attending this year or sending a representative from your company. AED needs your participation to help us deliver the message that what Congress does has real impact on our industry.
One of the most important messages we are delivering is that the Highway Trust Fund – which bankrolls approximately 52 percent of annual state spending on highway, bridge and transits construction – will go broke in 2015 if Congress does not act. If the fund is allowed to zero out, the equipment industry will lose more than $2.4 billion in market activity and close to 4,000 dealership jobs will be in jeopardy. It does not matter whether you are a dealer, manufacturer or an industry service provider – you will be affected directly by what action or lack of action Congress takes on this issue. View legislative issues brochure.
On the first day of the Fly-In program, you will be briefed by AED’s Government Affairs team and other policy experts on the Highway Trust Fund, tax reform and energy-related legislation. Day 2 will be dedicated to visiting with your members of Congress and their key staff members. View agenda for details.
